About Me

I am currently in progress of earning a B.S. degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from Michigan State University. I Grew up in the Chicago land area and lived there all of my life. Throughout grade school to high school I had always been involved in some sport. Officially an alumni of my high school football, track and field, lacrosse, gymnastics, and weight lifting teams. Unfortunately, through my participation in sports I learned a sad truth, being that injuries will occur. Injuries do not only come along with participating in sports, but also is a part of everyone's every day life.
I have received the following injuries: fractured ankle, fractured growth plate (arm), constant back pain (due to lifting), and three torn laburnums. I have received three surgeries for all the torn laburnums. Throughout all my injury experiences I have learned  that in order for me to live a healthy, injury resistant, life I must learn how to successfully take actions to prevent future injuries and also how to recover from an injury.
This desire to learn how to stay injury free is what continues to motivate me to one day become a Rehabilitation Engineer. This would allow me to research and develop methods of physical therapy. Ironically, my injuries that still cause me pain on a daily basis will allow myself to serve as my own "lab rat".

  1. You have many interesting personal experiences on you blog, and that is very special for you. However, I think if you can write something about your goal to the blog, this post will be perfect.

  2. Your personal reflection is quite on topic but it's really concise when people want to know the different aspect of your personality.
